O deputado federal Nikolas Ferreira (PL-MG) apresentou, em episódio recente de seu documentário sobre os detentos do dia 8 de janeiro, a história do ex-comandante da Polícia Militar do Distrito Federal, coronel Naime.
The episode explores the circumstances that led to the arrest of Naime, accused of omission during the protests that led to vandalism in the headquarters of the Three Powers.
During the week of the events, Naime was on sick leave, dealing with health problems such as diabetes, hypertension and renal failure. However, he was called by the office of Governor Ibaneis Rocha (MDB) to deal with the situation on the Esplanade.
Naime acted against the protesters, made arrests and ended up being injured in the confrontation. Despite the conclusion of the Federal Police that he had no responsibility for the acts, the colonel was arrested and has been incarcerated for more than 300 days.
